Sarah Zellman

With a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and over 20+ years of experience as a case manager, I have worked with adults and children with various disabilities in both a residential setting and community day service program. I have also worked with DCFS in case management and in my years of experience, I have provided families with information on how to acquire low income housing, how to apply and maintain SNAP benefits as well as medicaid and social security benefits. I have connected families with parenting classes, substance abuse classes, and domestic violence classes which have helped them maintain custody of their children. In all my years of service with families in need, one of the most heart breaking realities is that people just don’t know. Our goal is to educate families on financial literacy, provide resources for employment training, and connect them with community based programs which will help break down the barriers to achieving their goals.
